Wind turbine supplier selected
Following a competitive tender and several rounds of commercial and technical negotiations, the Danish company Vestas - a global leader in wind energy - was selected as the wind turbine supplier for our project. The project will feature advanced V163-4.5 MW turbine models.
Vestas brings immense long-term experience in the design, manufacturing, and servicing of wind power equipment.
Why Vestas? Key facts about our partner:
- Over 40 years of experience: The company installed its first wind turbine back in 1979 and has been setting industry standards ever since.
- Global scale: To date, Vestas has installed over 180 GW (180,000 MW) of wind turbines across 88 countries. This is the highest capacity achieved by any manufacturer on the planet.
- Global environmental impact: Vesta’s turbines help reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by hundreds of millions of tons every year.
- Technological leadership: The V163-4.5 MW model selected for our project is specifically engineered for low to medium wind speed locations. It features an increased rotor diameter, maximizing generation efficiency and ensuring a high-capacity factor even in light wind conditions.
"Selecting the supplier is a pivotal milestone in the project's implementation. Vestas' technologies will allow us to ensure maximum generation efficiency, stable grid operation, and a high level of environmental safety," the company's management noted.
Currently, the parties are finalizing the equipment supply and long-term service agreements. The commencement of installation works is scheduled for the near future.
